Ron Pearce

After graduating from Westminster Seminary (Philadelphia) 1980, Ron interned under Rev. George Scipione and the session at Calvary Community OPC, Harmony, NJ, 1980-1981. That year several families, 30 minutes east in Hackettstown, NJ, asked the Harmony session for someone to lead their weekly Bible studies, in hopes of starting a Bible believing Presbyterian church. The elders sent Ron to help in the Fall of 1980. The group quickly grew, so Sunday worship services started in January 1981, and by Easter the work was particularized. Ron was called to pastor the young congregation, and he and his wife, Linda, have been there ever since - 30 years this fall. God has abundantly blessed this congregation over the years.

A central focus of Ron Pearce’s pastoral ministry is the practical application of the Word to life. Sermons, classes, counseling, and training seminars at the church all try to develop believers in their faith. Additionally, seminary graduates who have participated in the church’s internship training are in fruitful ministries around the globe, all to God’s praise. Ron is bringing his 30 years of pastoral experience to this conference as he addresses “Problems Pastors Face.”
