Dick Gerber

Richard R. Gerber serves as the Associate General Secretary for the Committee on Home Missions and Church Extension of the Orthodox Presbyterian Church He has served in this position since 1999. He lives in suburban Philadelphia with his wife, Rita. Dick has served two pastorates in the OPC: Calvary OPC in Wildwood, New Jersey (‘71 –’79) and Westminster OPC in Hamden, Connecticut (’79-’99). He served as the moderator of the General Assembly in 2006.  He is a 1971 graduate of Westminster Theological Seminary in Philadelphia and a 1968 graduate of Moravian College in Bethlehem. Dick and Rita have been married for forty-three years and have four children.


Stephen Doe

The Rev. Stephen D. Doe has been pastor of Bethel RPC since 2002. Since his ordination in 1977 he has served Orthodox Presbyterian congregations in California, Nebraska, and Vermont.  He is a native Virginian raised in Fairfax County, and returned to live in his home state for the first time since enlisting in the U.S. Army when he and his wife, Joanie, came to Fredericksburg.  He received his undergraduate degree at the University of Maryland where he met his bride to be, Joan.  Steve attended Westminster Theological Seminary where he received a Master of Divinity degree in 1976.  Steve and Joanie have four children. They adopted Laura and Chris (from South Korea). God later blessed them with Jessica and Josh. The family has continued to grow with grandchildren, Grace, Matthew, Jacob, and Henry.  Steve is actively serving the Presbytery of the Mid-Atlantic in home missions and by representing the Orthodox Presbyterian Church’s efforts to spread the gospel of Jesus Christ around the world.
