Retreat, October
11‐12, 2013

Theme: Women’s Fellowships – Christ’s Way

How can we, as sisters in Christ, encourage one another to engage in the death around us with the Gospel of Life?
  • “Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 5:3)
  • “Then he will answer them, saying, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did not do it to one of the least of these, you did not do it to me.'” (Matthew 25:45)

Speaker: Mrs. Meredith Proctor

Meredith_0932-croppedFrom Meredith: “I was raised an only child in a non-Christian home and came to the Lord at age 22.  I was welcomed into the loving arms of brothers and sisters of a Presbyterian church.  There I grew in the faith and was blessed with many opportunities to grow and serve.  Nineteen years ago, in the early 90’s, I met my husband, Phil Proctor, who asked me to marry him and to go to the mission field.  The Lord gave us the privilege to serve Him in a foreign capacity in Uganda, East Africa along with our four beautiful children, for eight years.  In June of 2011, the Lord gave us a new opportunity to serve in Sterling, Virginia.   In our new mission field, we have been blessed to see the Body of Christ grow and to be refreshed in the knowledge that hospitality (ministering to the stranger, overlooked attender or fellow member of the church family) is the same regardless of whether you’re in Uganda, America or anywhere else.  One of the most powerful ways that Christ continues to grow His church is by giving a cup of cold water in His name.”
