Guidelines for Use of Machen Center

Churches, families, or individuals desiring to utilize MRCC should check the Event Planning Calendar for an open date, then fill out the Facilities Usage Request Form, or email directly. You will receive confirmation by email.

Currently the MRCC has six tent sites, three RV sites, seven bunkhouses, and a main building. There are three barbecue pits, a basketball court, a volley ball court, a large multipurpose field and a fire pit with benches.


  • The RV or Popup sites have electricity but no water and, being on a circular road  are easily accessible.
  • The seven bunkhouses accommodate up to 12 people. Three of them have been winterized. The other four have screened windows and are great for warm conditions. Each camper will need to bring his or her own sheets, blankets or sleeping bag, pillow, towel and wash clothes.

Main Building

  • The ground level of the main building includes the kitchen, an indoor area which can seat 45 to 50 people, an open air pavilion accommodating a similar number, and shower facilities. The upstairs level has an air-conditioned meeting room, a small office, restroom facility, and storage areas.
  • The kitchen is sufficiently equipped to feed over 100 people easily. Those who rent the facility for private gatherings will need to provide their own food and kitchen help.
  • The inside dining room can only seat about 45 to 50. The remainder will have to use the picnic tables (pews convert to tables) outside under the pavilion or you could eat in shifts.

Usage Fee Schedule

  • Main building kitchen and dining room – $50/night prorated by number of families ($25/night minimum if only one family)
    • (Non OPC Groups) – $55/night prorated by number of families ($30/night minimum if only one family)
  • Main building upstairs (meeting room) – $25/night
  • Cabins – $10/night/person ($40 max per OPC family)
    • (Non OPC Members) – $15/night/person ($60 max per family)
  • Tents – $5/night/person ($20 max per OPC family)

At these prices it is expected that every group will assist in the cleanup of MRCC as they depart for the next group using the facility. The guidelines for cleanup which are posted in all of the structures provide the standard for preparing the facilities for the next group.
