Lodging

The Machen Retreat and Conference center offers a variety of lodging options — tent sites,  RV sites, and bunkhouses.

Bunkhouses

There are currently 7 bunkhouses located on the Machen Retreat and Conference Center premises. Three of the bunkhouses are winterized while the remaining 4 bunkhouses have several screened windows. Three of the four summer bunkhouses have been split by the introduction of a small entry and a dividing wall, this allows for families of up to six to have their private room.  Each bunkhouse has space for 12 bunks.

You will need to bring your own bedding or sleeping bag for the bunks, pillows, towels and wash clothes.  Shower area is available in the main building.

Winterized Bunkhouses

Each of the 3 winterized bunkhouses have baseboard heating strips and glass windows to open when it gets hot.  These bunkhouses have 12 bunks in them.

You can make things real comfy – see what one couple did in one side of a split bunkhouse using a queen air mattress!

Warm Weather Bunkhouses

The summer bunkhouses only have mylar coverings for the windows to keep out dust and rain during the winters.  The window coverings are easy to remove to allow for a breeze when the temperature gets above 85 degrees.

Tent Sites

The tent sites have a very slight slope to allow for run off if it rains.  The sites are covered with wood chips each spring to provide a smooth surface for the tents. Currently there are six tent sites which are ready for use.

RV Sites

There are three RV sites. Each site has electrical connection.  These are easy to park in and close to the main building.
