At the October presbytery meeting, we announced that the Machen Retreat and Conference Center (MRCC) has an unexpected and critical need to replace the 26-year-old bridge on the road to the retreat. Currently it is unsafe for the large septic or concrete trucks that maintain MRCC to cross.
The projected cost is estimated between $12,000 – $15,000. An anonymous donor has pledged a matching gift of $7,500 toward the bridge replacement. This generous offer is only valid until November 15, 2021.
Machen Retreat needs your help to receive the remainder of the funds for the bridge replacement. If 150 people give only $50 each, this need can be met. Prayerfully consider what you might be able to contribute toward this urgent need.
Donations can be made via our Donations page, or can be mailed to our Treasurer. The donation should be made out to MRCC with the words ‘Capital Improvement Fund’ in the “FOR” section of your check and sent to the MRCC treasurer:
